I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
